Roller Pac™
Roller Pac™ , the first portable power source prototype, is a fully integrated « Plug & Play» unit combining a Fuel Cell, a hydrogen tank and a voltage regulator, in order to offer a system to supply a 230 V alternating current, just like the standard electric network.
Roller Pac™ is very carefully designed ergonomically, it has 2 power outlets, where you can plug in up to 2 KW of the needed equipment. In operation, it makes literally no noise. Operating between -10 and +45°C, it takes no more than 5 seconds to activate and to shut down.
One of the Roller Pac™ systems commissioned in December 2003 and tested as part of a European Union project, PVFC-Sys (photovoltaic fuel cell system) at STMicroelectronics in Agrate (Italy), successfully got through 2 000 hours of operation in continuous use.
